Justin Bieber stands poised to be the big winner at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards — which brings the ceremony back to the big stage before a live audience.
The Bieb leads all nominees with seven nods, just ahead of Megan Thee Stallion, who notched six. They’ll go head-to-head in the all-important Artist of the Year category. A slew of performers raked in five nominations, including Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo. It’s the first VMA go-round for Olivia, who’s up for Artist of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Song, for “Driver’s License.”
Doja Cat will host the show, which will feature performances by Bieber, Doja, Camila Cabello. Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X, Twenty One Pilots and Chloe Bailey of Chloe x Halle.
The Video Music Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday night at 8 pm and will be simulcast on CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, VH1 and the CW.
