Netflix ‘Terminator’ Anime Skydance Production I.G

Netflix has announced it will be bringing a Terminator anime series to life.

The streaming giant is teaming up with anime studio Production I.G, responsible for Ghost in the Shell. This project will see Matt Tomlin, who wrote Netflix’s superhero show Project Power, working hand-in-hand with the Japanese studio. There isn’t much information yet about where in the Terminator timeline the show will take place, but fans can anticipate an action-filled plot. In a press release. Tomlin expressed his excitement for the project: “I’m honored that Netflix and Skydance have given me the opportunity to approach Terminator in a way that breaks conventions, subverts expectations and has real guts.”

Production company Skydance, who owns the rights to Terminator, will be co-producing with the anime studio.

The most terrifying killing machine in sci-fi history is back, just like it promised. Project Power’s Mattson Tomlin and legendary anime studio Production I.G are teaming up for an animated series set in the Terminator universe.
