Tristan Thompson won a default judgment over the woman who falsely claimed the NBA player was the father of her 6-year-old son.

Thompson sued Kimberly Alexander for libel. His DNA paternity test proved he was not the father. Afterward, Alexander continued to make her claim. She also accused Tristan of neglecting the boy – who was not his own – of emotional and financial support.

Kimberly Alexander failed to appear at a court hearing. The judge ruled in favor of Tristan, who asked for $100,000 in damages to his reputation.

Tristan wrote with help of his attorney, (quote) “I love my children and take my responsibilities as a father extremely seriously. I am proud to provide for their needs financially and otherwise. Had the DNA test results shown that Ms. Alexander’s child was my son, I would have done the same without hesitation.” (The Blast)
