TRAVIS SCOTT: One-Week From Astroworld Trial

The first Astroworld lawsuit is scheduled to go to trial in one-week. Travis Scott, Live Nation and festival organizers face billions in damages at multiple civil trials. The first one will start next Monday.

A judge rejected Travis Scott’s last-minute bid to be removed as a defendant. Ten people were crushed to death at the 2021 Astroworld Festival. Travis Scott was performing on stage at the time of the crowd stampede. He’s been criticized for not stopping the show the moment the crowd began to panic.

Travis Scott’s attorney argued to the judge (quote) “Promoting and performing at a concert do not equate to the power to control a crowd or to design a venue safely.” (Billboard)
