DIDDY: MTV’s Global Icon

Next month at the Video Music Awards, MTV will honor Diddy with the Global Icon Award.

MTV considered Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Kylie “Padam Padam” Minogue. An insider added (quote) “Exact details are being worked out. But all signs point to Diddy.”

MTV bestows the honor to “an artist whose unparalleled career and influence has left an indelible mark on the music landscape.”

The industry is celebrating 50-years of Hip-Hop. For half that time, Sean Combs has been center stage under a variety of names. A source said (quote) “Whether you know him as Puff Daddy, P-Diddy or simply Diddy, there is no denying he changed the landscape of music.” (The Sun, UK)
