BEYONCÉ: Renaissance Presales Reach $7 Million

Tickets are now on sale for Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

In the first 24-hours, pre-sale revenue reached $7 million. A Hollywood executive put that number in context. The film’s release on December 1 is generally a slow period at megaplexes (quote) “You need to understand that $7 million in presales on a movie that’s opening in the first weekend of December is great. Nothing ever opens then. So, this is a very good sign.”

Long-term opening weekend projections have Renaissance earning around $20 million. By comparison, Violent Night was the only new movie the weekend right after Thanksgiving 2022. Violent Night opened with $13 million.

Based on the projected success of Beyoncé’s and Taylor Swift‘s concert movies, it’s only a matter of time before Harry Styles and Jonas Brothers offer theirs. (Deadline)
