COVID killed the BTS world tour, Map of the Soul.
The K-Pop phenomenon blamed “changing circumstances beyond our control.”
The band announced the Map of the Soul Tour at the beginning of 2020. Then COVID became a pandemic. Dates were postponed, like most music acts, with the belief that touring would resume this year.
As Delta surges in the United States, large concert dates have been canceled in recent days. BTS announced the cancellations on Thursday (quote) “Our company has worked hard for the BTS Map of the Soul Tour. However, it has become difficult to resume performances at the same scale and timeline as previously planned.” (Rolling Stone)
