SHAWN MENDES: Releases Breakup Song

Shawn Mendes will be first out of the heartbreak gate to release a song inspired by his split from Camila Cabello.

Later tonight, Shawn drops “It’ll Be Okay.” He teased the song on social media with a brief clip featuring the lyrics, (quote) “Are we gonna make it? Is this gonna hurt?” (Billboard)

Only two weeks ago, they announced the end of their relationship. Yet they likely broke up shortly after Halloween, which is their final couple’s pix on Instagram. They claimed the split was mutual but further reporting revealed that Shawn called it off and Camila did not disagree.

Before splitting from Camila, Shawn told Rollacoaster Magazine about the fuzzy feelings he has for their time quarantining together. (quote) “I often go back to look at photos — The simplicity — We were lucky. It was nice. We were making dinner, just doing normal things.”
