SHAQUILLE O’NEAL: Former Flat-Earther?

Shaquille O’Neal defended his “flat earth theory” on an Australia radio show.  He told the hosts Down Under (quote) “I flew 20 hours today. I flew straight. Did not tip over or go upside down. We did not go under.”

He’s been here before. Then walked back his statements as he was just joking (quote) “I drive from Florida to California all the time. It’s flat to me. You mean to tell me that China is under us? It’s not. The world is flat.”

Shaq claimed we should never take him too seriously. Yet during the Australia interview, Shaq furthered his mistaken theory by questioning the Earth’s rotation (quote) “They say the world is spinning I’ve been living on a house on a lake for 30-years. Not once did the lake rotate to the left or right.” (The Washington Post)
