SEAN KINGSTON: Latest Legal Developments

We’ve got some updates on the fraud charges that Sean Kingston and his mom are facing.

UPDATE (11:55 p.m. ET): Sean Kingston waived his right in a California court to fight extradition. He agreed to surrender to the authorities in Florida. Kingston and his mother are charged with committing more than a million dollars-worth of fraud. (Entertainment Tonight)

Sean Kingston’s mom, Janice, has bailed herself out of jail four days after the Broward County, Florida Sheriff’s Department took her into custody. She is facing eight charges, including conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft and identity theft. She posted a $160,000 bond.

Meanwhile, her son is facing a total of 10 charges, not the least of which is an alleged plot to defraud multiple companies, including a jeweler, exotic car dealer and more. His debts for the unpaid luxury items, which include a nearly $100,000 custom bed, total close to a million bucks, if not more — especially when interest and late payment fees are calculated. Other charges are tied to defrauding banks, writing bad checks and a probation violation.

Kingston is due for an extradition hearing today (Tuesday) after spending the long holiday weekend in the San Bernardino County jail. (TMZ)
