1. Free Guy – $28.4 million
2. Don’t Breathe 2 – $10.6 million
3. Jungle Cruise – $9 million
4. Respect – $8.8 million
5. The Suicide Squad – $7.8 million

Free Guy led the weekend box office, which saw the premiere of three major releases.

The Ryan Reynolds action comedy earned a better-than-expected $28.4 million to debut at number-one.

The horror sequel Don’t Breathe 2 opened at number-two with $10.6 million, just ahead of Jungle Cruise with $9 million

The bio-pic Respect, starring Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin, debuted in fourth with $8.8 million

And The Suicide Squad, which was number-one, plummeted to fifth with $7.8 million, a 70% drop from last weekend.
