R. KELLY: Closing Arguments Today

R.Kelly is not expected to take the witness stand in defense of sex trafficking charges.

On Tuesday, Judge Ann Donnelly told the New York court that the defense is likely to rest this morning. Closing arguments will begin this afternoon before the jury deliberates R.Kelly’s fate. If convicted, he could face a life sentence.

The defense team called several witnesses, who testified that they never saw “inappropriate behavior” by R.Kelly with underage girls.

However, his accusers claimed R.Kelly sexually assaulted the R&B singer Aaliyah when she was only 13 or 14 years old. R.Kelly obtained a fake ID for 15-year-old Aaliyah so that their marriage in Illinois would appear legit. (New York Post)
