A copyright infringement suit filed against Ed Sheeran backfired on two songwriters. They now owe Ed and two co-writers more than $1 million. The British high court judge rejected the case involving the hit “Shape of You.” As a consequence, the songwriters must pay Ed Sheeran’s legal fees (The Guardian)

The Royal Family finally revealed that 9-year-old (next month) Prince George held a bake sale early in the pandemic. The third in line to the British Throne raised money for a charity protecting African wildlife. All that wealth and still the Royals held a bake sale rather than donating directly. If Stranger Things had not returned Kate Bush to the Billboard charts, the upcoming movie Thor: Love & Thunder (July 8) would have. Her music was nearly in the Marvel movie. Actor Christian Bale revealed how the director choreographed a scene to Kate Bush’s music (quote) “I wanted to do a whole dance, which we didn’t get to do. We had all this sort of Kate Bush stuff that we worked at.” (Variety)
