The Super Bowl 56 half-time show felt like an All-Star Game, with GOAT after GOAT taking the stage.
Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem performed on, in and around a set comprising several white trailers in the middle of SoFi Stadium, surrounded by convertibles and small crowd.
Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg kicked things off with “Next Episode” and then “California Love.” Surprise guest 50 Cent popped up to perform “In Da Club.”
Next up was Mary J. Blige who played her hits “Family Affair” and “No More Drama” back-to-back. After that was Kendrick Lamar, who performed “M.A.A.D. City” and “Alright” surrounded by dancers with bleached blond hair performing choreography around him.
Eminem played “Forgot About Dre” into “Lose Yourself” accompanied by a full band, including Dr. Dre, a horn section, and Anderson Paak on the drums. After his two songs, Em took a knee in protest.
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre closed out the show with “Still D.R.E.” flanked by all of the other performers.
