Sean “Diddy” Combs remains incarcerated in New York but in Michigan he enjoyed a legal victory. A judge vacated the $100 million awarded to an inmate that sued Diddy for sexual assault at a 1997 party. (TMZ)

Diddy returned to a New York court for the second straight day in an attempt to be released. The judge refused. Diddy is in federal custody until his trial on three counts of transportation of prostitutes, racketeering and sex trafficking. (NBC News)

This story has spiral in several directions potentially entangling rappers, actors and music label executives. Here’s what we know:

  • The judge refused Diddy’s second offer of a $50 million bond, police surrounding his home, surrendering electronic devices and a list of approved visitors none of them women.
  • Another hearing is scheduled in one-week. Diddy could up the ante as he’s worth an estimated $600 million.
  • Authorities placed Diddy in the Special Housing Unit (SHU) of the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC). He complained of hellish conditions.
  • R.Kelly, Fetty Wap, Jeffrey Epstein’s enabler Ghislaine Maxwell and Donald Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen each spent time inside the MDC ahead of their trial dates.
  • The Special Housing Unit (SHU) isolates inmates not just from the general jail population but also from connecting with family members and attorneys.
  • The production team behind the Quiet On Set documentary about Nickelodeon mistreatment of child stars will turn their focus on exposing
