CHRIS ROCK: Rejected *Super Bowl* Ad, Hosting *Oscars*

Chris Rock briefly addressed, during a 90-minute comedy set, the Academy Awards slap from Will Smith

That incident opened doors for Rock, which he rejected. The Oscars invited him to host next year’s ceremony. Chris told the Phoenix crowd how he refused that as well as an offer for a Super Bowl commercial centered on the Oscars incident.

Chris rock joked about how much Will Smith’s slap stung (quote) “He’s bigger than me. The state of Nevada would not sanction a fight between me and Will Smith.” (AZ Central)
