Celine Dion won’t be lighting up Las Vegas this fall as planned — she’s put her upcoming residency on hold for “medical reasons.”
Celine was supposed to set up shop at the Resorts World Theatre starting on November 5th, with dates in January and February, but everything is in limbo because she’s suffering “severe and persistent muscle spasms” and can’t rehearse. She issued a statement saying, “I’m heartbroken by this. My team and I have been working on our new show for the past eight months, and to not be able to open this November saddens me beyond words. I’m especially sorry for disappointing all the fans who’ve been making their plans to come to Las Vegas.”
No makeup dates have been announced, but if there are any, they won’t happen for a while — Celine’s Courage world tour is slated to kick off on March 9th. (Variety)
