Camila Cabello’s film debut has been postponed. Sony Pictures delayed Cinderella, which was scheduled to premiere in two weeks. It will now arrive in theaters in mid-July, pending the state of the pandemic.
The final cut of this modern re-telling of the Cinderella story is not finished. Post-production editing and special effects continue. Sony has yet to release a teaser trailer. Those unsettling details led to a rumor that Sony is shopping Cinderella to streaming platforms. The celebrity blog Crazy Days and Night reported, (quote) “The producers hope it won’t have a full box office release because it will be a huge flop.”
In addition, the final James Bond starring Daniel Craig, No Time to Die, was pushed back for a third time. Sony Pictures will open Bond in October instead of April. (Variety)
