Kanye West is making big money and breaking records with his new album and it technically isn’t even out yet.
The latest Donda listening party was officially the most-watched livestream event in Apple Music history with 5.4 million views — topping the last Donda listening party a week prior, which pulled in 3.3 million viewers. The record had previously been held by the Gucci Mane and Jeezy Verzuz.
The rest of his catalog also saw a boost in streaming numbers in recent weeks. He’s been averaging around 10 million-plus streams a day and reeled in 240-million total over the past three weeks — a 33% jump over what he did the previous month.
And then there’s the $7 million that he’s apparently earned from merchandise sales. That’s nearly ten-times what top stadium acts usually make in merch sales on a good night. (Billboard)
