The New York Times documentary on Hulu, Framing Britney Spears, earned two Emmy nominations. She did not participate and would not receive a trophy. The show focused on the #FreeBritney movement and how the conservatorship system seemed to legally trap Britney and silenced her by sealing court documents. Framing Britney Spears may win an Emmy in September and eventually her freedom. (Variety)

The Oprah Winfrey  bombshell interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is nominated for an Emmy in the “Hosted Nonfiction” category. More than 17 million watched as Meghan described her suicidal thoughts while pregnant and Harry revealed that at least one the Royal Family member is racist. (People)

Ariana Grande is rumored to have severed ties with mega-manager, Scooter Braun. At the same time that he separated from his wife for alleged cheating. The celebrity blog Crazy Days and Nights reported (quote) “This time the split between Ariana and her controversial manager seems more permanent.
