There’s a new twist in the Herschel Walker abortion story which is challenging his claim that he never paid for a woman to have an abortion.
The pro-life Georgia Republican Senate candidate has denied a report that he paid for a girlfriend to have an abortion in 2009 after she became pregnant with his child. Walker insists the story is a “flat-out lie,” even though the woman has provided a receipt for the procedure along with a signed canceled check and a “get well soon” card from Walker. The Daily Beast, which broke the story earlier this week, has now come out with more information about the former girlfriend. They say the woman, who has not been named, got pregnant again with Walker’s child years later but decided to have the child. Earlier this year, Walker admitted to fathering three children which he had never acknowledged publicly before.
Walker, who is in a tight race with Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock, says he supports a national ban on abortions with no exceptions.
