Demi Lovato returned her diamond engagement ring valued between $2.5 and $5 million.

The celeb blog Crazy Days and Nights reports that Demi’s next step will be to file for a restraining order against her ex-fiancé Max Ehrich.

Max initially complained that Demi never “officially” broke up. Giving back the ring ought to send Max a clear message even he can understand. One his friends said, (quote) “Max did not expect to get the ring back. He is still heartbroken over the breakup but felt this was a way for Demi to say goodbye.”

On Tuesday, his buddies arrived at Demi’s home to collect Max’s gear. Among the moving boxes was the ring box. Demi placed it on the kitchen counter. A source confirmed, (quote) “Demi was not there. The exchange happened between their teams.” (In Touch)
