WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Fat-Shamed on The View

A guest on The View fat-shamed host Whoopi Goldberg to her face.

When Whoopi questioned out loud if her body was built for denim jeans, Barbara Corcoran of Shark Tank quipped, (quote) “When you decide you don’t like those jeans, give them to me. I’m gonna make two pairs!”

The studio audience groaned. Jaws dropped at Corcoran’s foot-in-mouth comment.

The View invited investors from Shark Tank to promote tonight’s season premiere. They highlighted one of the success stories: Jeans from Good American. That’s when Whoopi asked, (quote) “Will they fit my COVID butt?”

Barbara Corcoran apologized on Twitter, (quote) “I’ve known Whoopi for years. I made a joke at her expense, which I now realize wasn’t funny. I really am very sorry.” (People)
