THE WEEKND: Never Snubbed by Grammys Again

The Weeknd pledged that never again will the Grammy Awards snub him at nomination time. He refused to submit his music for consideration.

The Recording Academy failed to nominate The Weeknd despite the After Hours album being one of the biggest of the year.

On Friday, the Recording Academy revealed rule changes and the elimination of a secret nomination committee.  Despite these improvements, The Weeknd told Variety, (quote) “I remain uninterested in being a part of the Grammys, especially with their own admission of corruption for all these decades. I will not be submitting in the future.”
