Michael Strahan

Michael Strahan did not rocket into space on Thursday. Strong winds forced a postponement.

The Good Morning America co-host and NFL Hall of Famer must wait until Saturday morning to fly on Blue Origin. The website will live stream lift-off and the 11-minute weightless ride more than 62-miles above Earth.

One of the five passengers joining Strahan is Laura Shepard Churchley. She’s the daughter of the first American in space. Alan Shepard flew a Mercury capsule in 1961.

A decade later Alan Shepard rocketed on Apollo 14 and walked on the moon. For this Blue Origin flight, Laura Shepard Churchley will take the ring that her father took to the Moon. (Newsweek)
