Jussie SmollettĀ is scheduled to appear in court on March 10th for his sentencing.
The formerĀ EmpireĀ star was found guilty last month of lying to police about a fake hate crime he allegedly staged. The conviction could land him behind bars for up to three years, but experts agree that he will probably be spared any jail time and will instead receive probation and community service. He is also facing lawsuits from the City of Chicago to recoup the money it spent on its investigation. Smollett insisted throughout his trial that the hate crime was not staged and that he was attacked by two brothers. (ABC News)
