Jennifer Hudson could add many more Emmy Awards to her EGOT.

Hudson will launch a daytime talk show. The series starts the week after Labor Day. The producing team behind Ellen DeGeneres will steer The Jennifer Hudson Show, which is taped on the same stage as Ellen.

Once Ellen was pressured to announce her retirement, dozens of wannabe hosts angled to replace her. Warner Bros. auditioned 30 potential hosts. Jennifer Hudson shot a test show last fall and quickly rose to the top as the “obvious choice.” (Variety)
