Bill Cosby won’t be getting out of prison early.

The comedian has been denied parole, with the Pennsylvania Parole Board citing his refusal to participate in a therapy program for sexually violent predators.

His spokesman Andrew Wyatt said Cosby expected the denial. “We knew he was going to be rejected. He called me and told me that if he didn’t take the course, he would be denied. He has maintained his innocence from the beginning.”

According to Reuters, “Cosby, now 83, would have become eligible for parole on September 25th after completing the three-year minimum term of his sentence.” He’s serving 3 to 10 after being convicted of rape.

The board said it would not consider Cosby for parole again unless he completes the sexual violent predator therapy.
